Follow feature
Last but not least, we are adding a major feature in the game, which is going to be the Follow feature. NPCs are going to follow Katyusha and fight alongside her. Each NPC will have a different speciality. The Follow feature will only be activated, once you complete the starting quests that the NPCs will give you, ie 2 quests for every level.
As this is probably the most difficult feature to add (ie. NPC companions being controlled by AI), this feature will probably be activated as a placeholder during the early beta. So for instance, you will be able to ask Konstantin to Follow you in Level 2, but not actually Follow you and fight alongside you. In the next beta version, we are going to add the full follow Feature, to ensure that this is bug tested and working.
NPCs are Soviet heroes. Since Katyusha is based on real facts, note that the final version of the game will include Soviet heroes that died in certain battles, which in this game means that they will actually die in your hands. Honestly, we have done a lot of World War 2 research in this game, which we believe that it can be played even in schools, so that it can entertain and educate students at the same time.
Release period
The early beta is expected to be released during Q4 2026. Hopefully…before GTA 6!
A message from the Game Designer
After 3 years of silence more than 20.000 downloads on Steam and dozens of meetings with potential investors and publishers, we have finally understood that our small development team has to complete the game alone (unless a magic moment will happen).
We apologize for this delay but the development team has been currently downsized to very few people. If you want the game to be completed, you can help us with the following ways:
– Wishlist the game
– Play the demo (if you haven’t already, but definitely play the early beta).
– Share the news.
– Ask from your favorite gaming news websites and influencers to speak about Katyusha.

Regards,
Manos Gryparis
(Game Designer).
